Certificate Program · 6 Weeks

Applied AI & Data Science Certificate

Build, test, and defend real AI systems inside the ScholarDigit Workplace Simulation, then leave with a portfolio and skills transcript that prove it.

Format

Hybrid (in-person or virtual)

Duration

6 weeks · 2 sessions/week

Delivered By

ScholarDigit practitioner instructors

ScholarDigit programs are delivered to institutional cohorts, not sold as individual seats. Pricing depends on cohort size and delivery format.

Curriculum

Six weeks, one continuous simulation

Every week moves learners through Learn, Build, Defend, and Transfer inside the same synthetic company, so skills compound instead of resetting each module.

  1. 01

    Foundations & the Workplace Simulation

AI building blocks: prompting, context, and function calling. Learners onboard into the synthetic company and receive their first workplace ticket.

  2. 02

    Data Investigation

Data pipelines, cleaning, and analysis. Learners investigate a business question and present findings to a simulated stakeholder.

  3. 03

    Grounding & Knowledge Systems

Retrieval-augmented generation and vector search. Learners build a department knowledge assistant that cites its sources and refuses to invent policy.

  4. 04

    Automation & Agentic Workflows

Connecting LLMs to APIs and multi-step workflows, with human-in-the-loop approval gates for anything customer-facing.

  5. 05

    Testing & Defending Your Work

Evals, hallucination detection, and adversarial testing. Learners defend their Week 3-4 builds against failure cases they didn't design.

  6. 06

    Capstone: Integrated Business Solution

A new scenario, new constraints. Learners architect an end-to-end solution and defend it in a final oral review.

Who It's For

  • Colleges and universities adding an applied-AI track to an existing program
  • Workforce development programs re-skilling adult learners for data and AI-adjacent roles
  • Employers building internal AI capability across non-engineering teams
  • Learners comfortable with basic computer literacy; no prior coding required to start

What's Included

Everything needed to run the cohort

  • Live instruction and hands-on labs, 2 sessions per week
  • Six weekly workplace tickets plus a defended capstone project
  • Instructor office hours and learner support throughout
  • Completion certificate, portfolio, and competency-by-competency skills transcript
  • Curriculum aligned with AWS Certified AI Practitioner and Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals exam objectives
  • Administrator dashboard for attendance, completion, and outcomes reporting
